DIY add some ribbon to your lampshade

This is a lamp that I found on the roadside a long time ago (I have had many funny looks using the tramway carriying this lamp with me but I knew it had potential and I held on to it) So it has been patiently waiting for all that time. I bought a simple white lampshade, but it was missing something, it was looking all too white with the white painted walls.
A close up - I like the detailing of the foot of the lamp.
I needed adhedsive spray, sissors and ofcourse the ribbon (grosgrain)
Glue, add and cut - so simple

This is my mobile kitchenette, very practical and even has a fridge and hot water boiler. It has nothing to do with this diy, but you can imagine my office kitchen with the sofa.
Voila done in a heartbeat
Now you can see that I have to make another painting, a colourfull one to add some happiness to this kitchenarea and to cover the missplaced electricity outlet above the sofa, and now that we are thinking of what else is missing, maybe a nice rug.
I want my office to feel like home, as I spend most of my day time here, bit by bit it´s coming together.

  5. That lamp base is incredible! Don't you just LOVE finding gorgeous things by the side of the road? I once found an antique wood table with a leather top that had an embossed gold border and cute little wheels on the legs... Whenever I look at it I am constantly amazed that someone tossed it out on its side!

Great job tweaking the lamp shade, awesome pillows too. :)
