Beau Lifestyle´s Nursery Revealing

Finally I can reveal Matteo´s nursery, after many ´to do´ things were done, thanks to the grandparents. It´s a mix of vintage finds, some new things, DIY projects and Ikea. I wanted to create a room that I am confortable in too. 15 more days untill my due date, I have the feeling Matteo wants to come a bit earlier, so today I have packed my hospital bag and took pictures of the Nursery.
I am so in love with the vintage faux bamboo chandeliers that I won on Ebay, I have got them rewired and painted them, so they are as good as new again.

The XL changing station, with everything in reach. The hat and sleeping bag are handmade gifts.

The curtains with the ribbon that my mom DIY-ed, I am so happy how it looks.

The Leander crib with the animal prints. The owl is handmade by my mom who used the same fabric as I used to upholstered the little chair.

I would love to have a little library with childrenbooks, so now I started collection them.

The wonderfull O´verlays, that give the 2 little closets an instant wow factor and you can´t really tell the mess behind them.
another love of the nursery is the vintage parrot lamp I purchased on Etsy. Other Etsy purchases is the vintage tea cup with the gold M monogram and the peepee teepees (fabric cones) so Matteo doesn´t pee on me when changing his diapers.

Weekend nursery decorating

This Sunday we stayed home in our PJ´s decorating the nursery.
Beau mounted the Leander crib and it looks good!

Some inspiration I got from the book Room for Children, that I bought in Jonathan Adler´s NY boutique last year during our US roadtrip. These pretty elephants I bought over at Etsy from seller Curate

The room is quite empty but bit by bit it comes together.
The toy elephant is from a spanish babybrand sal de coco, wich makes cute stuff.
The adorable booties I got from a dear friend, Matteo is going to be so handsome with these booties!

Nursery gift

I am a happy daughter to have my mom over for a week, total happiness!
I told her my plan of buying an Ikea crib and do some pretty DIY stuff to it, but my mom and beau boyfriend had another point of view.
Now from the grandparents to be we have had a pretty present, a Leander crib.

The Leander crib is aconvertible crib from Scandinavian design and is available in 3 colors, white, natural and brown.
I choose the white one, and it´s arriving this friday, hurray!
Hope to post pics soon!

Nursery planning

I have a white Ikea baby crib stored in my warehouse, that I used in a proyect a few years ago, and I was thinking of using it for my own nursery. The only thing its quite boring, so I have the idea of ordering some greek pattern O´verlays to add a bit of chicness. Here is the picture of O´verlays used on the Lack table from Ikea
And this is the Ikea Gulliver crib

I guess these 2 things combined will make a stunner of a crib, that is a fraction of the cost, compared the designer cribs out there.
So this will be my next DIY proyect...

As I am saving on the crib, I thought I might splurge on some nice animal photographs from Sharon Montrose.

I did buy this already:

rompers from petite bateau

Well that´s it for now, we still have many months to go, so other helpfull things will be added soon.
