Tea Station

Hello! How was your weekend, mine was lovely, it´s great to be back and to be healthy, I am full of energy and I feel I have missed out on so many blogposts! I did nice things this weekend with Mr Beau and Baby Matteo, and had some time to rearrange some things in the house. I am still very fond of the lucite side table I bought in Zara home a few years ago, I had beautiful antique glass decanters placed on top of it, but with Matteo´s fingers touching them, I was afraid he might break them and so I stored them away. Now I use it as a tea station, I drink a lot of Chinese green tea, and these things all together could break, but are not that fragile as antique decanters.

Good quality wrapping paper with snake skin print I have placed underneath the lucite top on my wooden chest, I am very happy with the result.

All pictures taken with my new iphone 5, thanks dad for giving it to me as a present, love you!

DIY nightstand

Tadaaa...we finally finished it this weekend. This is the nightstand I found along the road a couple of months ago. I am very happy with the outcome, and it costed me only a total 24 euros for the primer, paint and ring pulls. I enjoyed doing this...up to the next!

After and before

Tadáaa, remember the side table I found on the street? I had wild plans to paint it a bright colour and laquer it, but at the end made it simply white. Now it´s a table with a funcion, it stores towels, toiletpaper and perfumes in my office bathroom.
Please ignore the ugly blue floor, my office/ warehouse space were I work was DIY renovated and on a budget, I didn´t spend any money on a new floor.
I always like to show the after picture first. It does look better now right?
Next DIY please...

elephant wicker side table

I am looking forward for one my best friends to get pregnant, so I can help her with decorating a nursery (not that she needs my help as she has great taste herself) But I know she loves elephants, and I was
thinking that she might like to have an elephant wicker side table.

Maters of style also decorated her nursery with an elephant side table, I think it looks adorable. She bought hers at Pier one

It looks lovely for grown ups too!

Look what I found today

Have you seen this little pink table of Australian designer Anna Spiro? I think I am in love with
everything she does, it´s pure perfection.

This is what I found this morning near my office,´it´s only dusty, but further in good condition.
It has 4 small wheels underneat it. I think it has potential....
I want to give it a nice bright colour, perhaps laquer it.

I found these images on fabulous pieces

Pretty right?
Hope to post soon about this DIY project yay

DIY birch log side table

Oh my, this is nice! I came across this DIY birch log side table at Seeing Design
Anne the DIY-er saw this Brent comber side table for 2000 dollars and was inspired to
make one herself. She spend 85 dollars in the end to make this table.
Such a great DIY project to make in springtime.
