colorful Christmas by Maria Barros

How about a non traditional Christmas decoration? I was totally in love when I saw this decorated tree (and everything else in that same house) made by Maria Barros. Maria is a very talented interior designer and a close friend of Ana Antunes from Home Styling.

So colorful and fresh

I am a grl that always ha the summer in my heart, choosing bright colors in clothes and jewels instead of dark colors and I see Maria does that naturally.

Maria barro´s book Casa Feliz is om my wishlist for Santa Claus, I hope he reads it and put´s the book under our tree! Do you want to see more pictures, please visit Dolce Vita.

Office of Ana Antunes

This is my most favorite office picture! It´s the office of my dear friend Ana Antunes of Home Styling. I have visited Ana during my trip to beautiful Lisbon early this year, I wrote about our rendez vous here. When I stepped in her office I felt like I stepped in the amazing Willy Wonka´s chocolate factory. It was all ooohhh and aaaah, just beautifull. She loves trellis, wich i do too and has a very popular decorating program on the Portugese television.  I try to keep my office neat and stylish as her, but my work is a little less elegant, my office part is nice but the warehouse is full of boxes and they bring in a lot of dust, which means a lot of cleaning to do!

Thank you

A quick thank you for the lovely comments from the ones who gave their advise on last thursday´s post, about my next DIY proyect for the bamboo chairs.

Thanks to Ana Antunes from Home Styling is my portugese decorating angel that has jlo´s looks (true go and look for yourself) and is the heartbeat of the only decorating show in Portugal Querido, mudei a casa. Besides of her having sublime taste, she is hard working, down to earth sweet and i am proud to have met her in person and call her my friend.

Thanks to Spanish Pablo from Bloobrey Place , he just turned 23 years! Happy Birthday Pablo.
I was impressed by Pablo to be such a good painter and DIY guy, you will be amazed to know he does all those thing being 23! I think Pablo will be an important interior designer and will be very sucesfull in the future.

Thanks to Claire from Stylish Irish she has been my blog friend since from the start and I am always keen to check out her blog for her adventures in Auckland, New Zealand. Besides being super sweet, she has a good sense for style, i love her dream house posts and her cooking makes me want to crave her dishes.

Thanks you guys for helping me out with your advise, I´ll keep them in mind and hopefully soon I can show you the result of my DIY work!

I have to say that all comments I receive make me jump of joy, and I get the feeling of getting to know you and being my friends.

Last Saturday, my friend Patty and me felt like painting, so I poored her a glass of red wine (for me water), some sweets and cupcakes on the side and we stared being creative.
This is what I came up with:
When Beau arrived home I asked him if he liked it and he answerd me:
¨ It looks Paranoid¨....
So now I called the painting Sweet Paranoid.

I hanged it in my office´s kitchen. For not having daylight in the kitchen, it was difficult taking a nice picture with my Iphone, but at least you get the idea.

Rendez-vous with decorator Ana Antunes from Home Styling

Today I had a lunch rendez-vous with the talented Ana Antunes, a Lisbon based decorator, tv producer of the only decorating show on the portugese television and mom to a 5 year old son. I got to know Ana from Aubrey´s blog All things bright and beautifull, where Ana had a guest post. I have been following both blogs and when Beau boyfriend proposed to stay a few days in Lisbon, I thought it would be wonderfull to meet up with Ana.
Ana Antunes and me
What a welcome visit today, Ana received me in her gorgeous office in the Chiado district of Lisbon, where she showed me around. The meeting room was surrounded with pretty catalogs, fabrics and wall papers a true decorators heaven. She has a collection of the most beautifull brands from all over the world.
During lunch she told me that she had lived in Amsterdam for a couple of years and that she knew a few of my favorite stores and she loves my city, I am loving her even more now!

We also talked about her popular Portugese tv-show called´´Querido, Mudei a Casa´´ If you look on youtube you can see episodes of the transformations Ana and her team do, besides the jawdropping transformations, and the happy owners, the show tells you where all the decoration comes from so you can go to the store and buy it too.
Talking to Ana it felt like talking to a friend that I knew for years, she is very up to date
to the latest gadgets, impressed by her knowlegde and she has traveled the world.
We share the same love for blogging and a beau lifestyle.
Thank you Ana and your assistants, it was nice meeting you!
