New project

I bought this kind of wheel in an antique store, i found it very pretty. I have no clue what it was.
I was thinking to hang it on the wall above my sofa.
It´s made of steel and has a old gold /brass colour.
I took the picture with my iphone in my warehouse with poor lighting, sorry for the bad quality of the picture. You can see my foot in the picture to give you an idea about it´s size.

What shall I do with it. Paint it yes or no, and if so wich colour would you paint it? I need your advise...

How was your weekend? My week started today as I was spending time with family on monday.

I came across this Spanish apartment, very pretty and neutral, it´s decorated by Estefania Carerro.
She is a young and taleted interior designer from Madrid.
I really like the crocodile settee.

During my trips to Holland I enjoy furniture shopping, the only bad thing about it is that it is impossible to take large objects with me on the airplane, so I have to stock up the things I have bought and wait either we come by car ourselves or family comes over to Spain.

These chairs were love on first sight when I first saw them on the Jonathan Adler website, and later on other decoration blogs. I got excited when I had the oportunity to purchased these chairs in Holland in a vintage/antique store a few months ago. They were painted in a strange colour of green and a ugly flower pint fabric, but I looked beyond that I some big potential in them. Now my parents got me suprised because they delivered me the chairs profesionally painted and upholstered in my favorite fabric!

I love how they look right now, and now i know why my mom investigated me wich colours I wanted to use for my chairs, she got it secretly done instead.

That´s love.

pre birthday presents

I already got my birthdaypresents from my Beau boyfriend.
A vacation to a pretty Canary island spa-resort, the honeypot from Alessi and a painting from Unitedhread, the Hummingbirds.
I am a happy girlfriend.

Birthday preparations

Saturday is my birthday, Yaaaay;)..........or Naaaay;( It´s true you like to have your birthdays but you also want to stay where you are and not get older.
The thing I look forward to is that my parents are coming over to visit, and they arrive tonight, so Yaaaaay!
I got to go and make some preparations for heir visit.
They are also bringing over some pretty things for our apartment, so I have some nice pictures and DIY proyects to share with you soon.

Ingo Maurer's Zettel'z chandelier

The Zettel Z lamp from Ingo Maurer makes me happy every  time I see it hanging in our study at home.

It was a gift from my mom 7 years ago, she had it in her own office, but due to a low ceiling did not came to it´s right there. When she offered me the lamp, i couldn´t resist, as I was alreay in love with that lamp.

The lamp comes with pinted sheets and blanc sheets so you can write some messages yourself or print pictures. It´s so nice if you can personalize design or a piece of furniture.
