Diane Bergeron

Diane Bergeron´s house was published on many blogs and magazines, probably you have seen images of her work and her house many times before.
She was featured in the Spanish AD magazine, the dutch residence and now also on the Adore magazine

Diane has been an Interior Designer for over 20 years, styling homes all over the world. She has a fresh approach to design and use of fabric have earned her a renowned reputation among designers and clients.

Reading her blog, I noticed that she loves rummaging around an estate sales to find some vintage treasures, she is a woman after my own heart.
Maybe that´s why her house appeals to me so much, she has mixed cheap and expensive together, she has used a lot of Madeline Weinrib fabrics and rugs and she loves faux bamboo, ikat and she´s not afraid to use color and bold black and white stripes, chevron or zebra in her interior.

Prelle - history of fabric

Ever wondered who is still able to make luxe fabrics for example Ópera de Paris house, Versailles, Louvre museum and Castles? It will be Prelle.
Prelle is a Fabric manufacturer that goes back a few hundred of years ago, they even manufactured fabrics for Marie Antoinette.
When I was a little, my parents took me to visit Versailles in Paris, I was smitten with the beauty of the decor, and since then I liked history a lot, and when to pick out a movie now, many times it´s a Jane Austen, Baroc or middle ages kind of movie. (it´s not fun to see a movie with me, if you don´t like these theme´s)
Prelle has showrooms in Lyon, Paris and New York.
When you are in New York and want to see these ´´magnifique´´ fabrics go and visit their new store:

43 East 10th Street – New-York, NY 10003

I think we should´t ask for the yard price, yikes!

Ikea fabrics

I wish I could run to Calico corners everytime I needed some fabrics, but because we don´t have them over in Europe I have to search other options.
During my hunt for a sheepskin in Ikea (they are great and cheap!) I looked at their fabric section. I really liked the SNOA STJARNA at 4,99 a yard it´s a steel.
I made a table cloth from it and i can imagine setting up the Christmas table...
It´s also sweet in a children´s room.
