Parisian apartment

Thanks so much for all your well wishings on the new pregnancy! I am totally in awe with the lovely comments!
I love Parisian apartments, many of them are with nicely decorated ceilings and walls and of course a marble fire place. They weather these days are rainy and cold and that is what attracted me to this apartment, dark, masculine but you can see yourself here with a an oversized cashmere sweater sipping a hot tea after you did your shopping in Le Marais district. Fortunately I have been many times to this romantic city and I can not get enough of it. I love Paris!

Another favorite is the herringbone floor.

Blogshop Paris

I can say it was a dream to have taken part to such an unique workshop. Bri and Angela are very good and patient teachers, I have asked so many questions, I must have driven them crazy! I was happy to meet so many talented international ladies in my class, they flew in from all over the world.
I´ll post about the workshop more tomorrow as I am soo tired after travelling.
And Laduree, they were delicious, especially the rosebud and vanilla are my favourites!

Antique market in Paris

Hello, sorry for posting so late, today was a very busy day at work and after that I decided to
spend some quality time with my Beau boyfriend´s grandmother.
My Beau boyfriend had to go to Paris for work, that gave me inspiration to post about a great antique market I discovered last time we were there.
It is probably the biggest antiques market I have ever visited in europe, and when you go, make sure you go early and don´t be in a hurry. They have around 350 dealers and they come from all over France.
You have to pay 8 euros entrance and it´s open from 11 till 7.
Take your wishlist with you, surely you will find all those things you are looking for, and be ready to bargain. Walk away if you find it too expensive, so most of the times they will call you back to lower the price. You will find expensive things inside the covered tents, and the cheaper thing outside in the open air. The next 2 antiques markets are:

From 6 till 15th of may 2011 - Paris 12 et 4/ Place de la Bastille - Antiquites Brocante

From 3 till 13th of November 2011 - Paris 12 et 4/ Place de la Bastille - Antiquites Brocante

I didn´t took pictures when I was there, and found there on the internet to gave you an idea of what is there to see.
If you go to Paris those days, good luck and happy hunting.

Our apartment part 2

The entrance of our apartment, order the love print at made by girl
Old french books I bought in a little book booth along the Seine in Paris.

I´m very happy with my thrift finds, la tour d´eiffel of glass, a little ceramic owl,
antique brush (comes i handy if you have dogs) a vintage silver plated toastrack
to hold letters, wandering papers and cards, a piece of coral branch painted in white.
The 2 lamps and the lucite tray with a map of london are from Zara home.

This my darlings, is my most favorite secret. It´s a Lampe Berger.
read about it here and search the nearest shop here.
It gives our home the most fantastic subtile smell, it kills germs, and the lamp looks nice and
is available in many different models and there are so many perfumes as well.
My favorite is lavender at the moment.

Yes, autums makes me wear my boots and use umbrellas.
I didn´t knew where to stash my magazines, so I made them part of the decoration
