White Armoire

We painted our armoire white, and I must say it totally transformed it into a beauty. Again this iphone picture does not do it justice.

During the DIY process....

My days abroad II

Here are a few more pictures I took with my Iphone during my stay in Amsterdam, I visited a nice store (You and Home living)  that sells vintage and antique furniture. I really liked the collection of blue and white jars.

They have decorated the shop like someone´s house, and everything is for sale!

This is the vieuw from the store, lovely huh?
The adress of this lovely store is:
You & Home Living Second Best Gerestylde Meubels, Noordereinde 249, 1243 JV 's-Graveland (Noord-Holland)
My mom and Matteo looking at the chandeliers

Just an ordinary flower shop in Amsterdam ( wish we had them over here like this...)

Coming home to a happy daddy that wanted to have a walk with his son...priceless

I am happy family and friends in Holland have met Matteo finally!

Antique market in Paris

Hello, sorry for posting so late, today was a very busy day at work and after that I decided to
spend some quality time with my Beau boyfriend´s grandmother.
My Beau boyfriend had to go to Paris for work, that gave me inspiration to post about a great antique market I discovered last time we were there.
It is probably the biggest antiques market I have ever visited in europe, and when you go, make sure you go early and don´t be in a hurry. They have around 350 dealers and they come from all over France.
You have to pay 8 euros entrance and it´s open from 11 till 7.
Take your wishlist with you, surely you will find all those things you are looking for, and be ready to bargain. Walk away if you find it too expensive, so most of the times they will call you back to lower the price. You will find expensive things inside the covered tents, and the cheaper thing outside in the open air. The next 2 antiques markets are:

From 6 till 15th of may 2011 - Paris 12 et 4/ Place de la Bastille - Antiquites Brocante

From 3 till 13th of November 2011 - Paris 12 et 4/ Place de la Bastille - Antiquites Brocante

I didn´t took pictures when I was there, and found there on the internet to gave you an idea of what is there to see.
If you go to Paris those days, good luck and happy hunting.

antique trip.

Last week during my trip to Holland I visited my mom´s friend who sell antique furniture and curiosia, she doesn´t have a shop but it´s like a large storage next to her house were she sells to shops by apointment.
It´s always such a joy to have the whole place for yourself and looking around to see all those beautifull things.
This ofcourse is also been taking with my mobile phone, sorry for the poor quality pictures.

Oh those chandeliers...

Very tempting to have a nice coleccion of vintage cups and teapot.
This antique floorlamp reminded me of I picture that I saw a few monts ago.

This is that picture I was talking about, its almost the same lamp but painted in white.
