chinese style
I am a bit excited that for work I have to fly to Hong Kong in January 2011, after a few days of work I have time free to explore the city and hopefully visit some antique and decoration shops at Hollywoodroad and make photos for inspiration (if they let me, i have heard chinese are not fond of pictures to be taken in their shops...)
It´s amazing to see how much chinese and other asian influence we see in furniture and decoration style today.

Like these chinese gardenstools.
Ginger jars and Ginger lamps, I like the blog of Desig Covet as I learned what the ginger jar
tradition came from.
We have seen these foodogs over and over, but they belong next to the garden stools and ginger jars.
Chiang mai fabric from Living Livelier
Calligraphy brush from Nicole´s blog Sketch 42
Imperial chinese warhorse
Ofcourse there is a lot more....
Is there something you think that should be mentioned in this post, please let me know

Zebra rug
I hope you had a wonderfull Christmas, I know I did, I have a round belly as proof of eating too much delicious christmas food. Our friends brought over a home made mango cheescake, it was to die for, and it didn´t last long, I think I became a mango cheescake addict...
On my to do list is making my office feel more like home and want to make it prettier, it´s the place where I spend most of my time, so that´s why the zebra rug will be destinated for my office.

This picture has been on many other posts, but I find it so pretty.

My office
This is what it actually looks like, I didn´t dare to show you my desk it´s
quite chaotic at the moment.
I truly want to be an organized person but it´s hard, it´s not natural for me
to pick up things and give them a place, like others. But I am trying ;)
I do like the utensilo wall organizer a lot, it makes me happy when I see it.

Moooi gallery Amsterdam
In Amsterdam I visited the studio of Moooi design
Many of their lamps and furniture are internationally well known around the globe.
I was impressed by the diversion of the fresh flowers.
random light by bertjan pot are the black light balls hanging from the ceiling, the
white lamp is the Dandelion by richard hutten and you can see the smoke dining
armchair from Maarten Baas.
The Horse lamp is hilarious, someone in Amsterdam attached this horse lamp on their ceiling, so weird.
Also shown light shade shade wich I love and is designed by jurgen bey
It´s a wonderfull spacious gallery and worth to visit. They sell nice cofeetable books of designer and
paintors and you will leave the gallery with new inspiration.
