Wow - Areaware

There are 5 items that I have always admired, and today I found out that all 5 of them are from Areaware.
It´s the forget me knot ring from Kiel Mead that I blogged about here before, the piggy bank from Harry Allen, The wooden animals from David Weeks, a silver rattle and the Fauna animal pillows.

Frame it

How nice is this arrangement? I especially like the detail of the frame, it doesn´t matter if there isn´t enough wall for it to be hung, as you can see it still looks great.

My days abroad II

Here are a few more pictures I took with my Iphone during my stay in Amsterdam, I visited a nice store (You and Home living)  that sells vintage and antique furniture. I really liked the collection of blue and white jars.

They have decorated the shop like someone´s house, and everything is for sale!

Not your average shelf

How nice are these fluor shelves? I see fluor everywhere especially in clothes and jewelry, and it´s refreshing see it used in the home as well. This could easily be a diy using an ikea shelf and spraypaint.

I really liked this shelf with the gold chain on both of the sides

If you don´t have much space in your house, use he space that you have untill the limit. This shelf is so handy above the door.

My days abroad

Today the grandparents took care of Matteo and had a mommy off day. I was happy too see Sandra, from Beauty Basics, my old friend and great esthetician, who gave me, as a present, a complete facial and made me feel so relaxed and in total bliss. Afterwards, I met with my friend Engel, to dine in the restaurant "Le Moustache", good food, ambiance and service.

We had pear ravioli and sea bass, and some lovely desserts.

Need 4 peace is a online comunity made by 2 friends, Jordy Wouters and Patrick Rosema, that realized that there is so much hostility and war on this world. Together they brainstormed about what they could do to be part of creating peace.

Queensday 2012 in Amsterdam was a lovely hot and sunny day, it was great to party and mingle with orange dressed people. It's a perfect day to be happy and act crazy. Queensday is a day we celebrate Queen Beatrix her mother's (Juliana) birthday, and it's a day that everyone is allowed to sell their old stuff, it's like a big open air flea market. I bought some new children books for the library I am creating at home.

My friend Engel, sold her stock of jewelry and did good business that day. Matteo was either in the carrier bag or his stroller depending on his mood.

My Mom caught me dancing with Matteo on the Jackson five song..
