Tiny art

Last weekend I attended an art class for babies and that was fun! Matteo discovered he had an artistic side. It´s so funny to see how other babies interact with other babies, they either can´t get their hands off of each other or the ignore other babies totally. My mom went back home yesterday, It was also lovely to have my mom over this week, sorry for abandoning you guys. It´s when I have family over I really like to spend quality time with them and no time for sitting behind the laptop! During working hours I was very busy preparing my biggest order ever, my biggest customer (with 75 shops!), placed an order and I had to get that order out. It took me 4 entire days to prepare everything according their instructions but thank god it´s send!

Seeing matteo getting his hands dirty doing some DIY, I remember I got to do some DIY myself.
I still have a wonderfull vintage faux Bamboo mirror to paint and hang up.
Soon more to come as my baby inspires me...

I struck gold...finding vintage finds

This week I did some vintage hunting with my mum in the flea and antique markets in Amsterdam.
Do you like the vintage octagonal gold mirror above? I do too and I found a same one, but a size smaller on the flea market!

The white light is an other vintage find.

As well as this authentic foldable Gerlinol tea trolley from 1955

and this HUGE canvas oil painting! I saw it, and made an offer, bought it for a fraction of the price.
Only this painting will come home with me, not sure yet which wall to hang it, but sure will find a nice spot for it.

It's a roman family that is buying a statue, it's full with little details and these iphone pictures, does not do it justice...it's impressive really! It's not signed, and have no clue who is the painter.

I think we got very lucky with this...

Bread came to his new home

I just came from the airport, picked up a package at the post office that Bri, from you me and a wiener blog, send me... and it was Bread, the painting from Bri that i was looking forward to receive. I absolutely love Bread and his pretty gold bamboo frame.
But wait, there was more, Bread came with some more art family, Fuzzy wuzzy, the bear for our baby's nursery and marshmellow a little abstract painting.
Thank you Bri for the lovely goodies and sweet note.

Thank you

A quick thank you for the lovely comments from the ones who gave their advise on last thursday´s post, about my next DIY proyect for the bamboo chairs.

Thanks to Ana Antunes from Home Styling is my portugese decorating angel that has jlo´s looks (true go and look for yourself) and is the heartbeat of the only decorating show in Portugal Querido, mudei a casa. Besides of her having sublime taste, she is hard working, down to earth sweet and i am proud to have met her in person and call her my friend.

Thanks to Spanish Pablo from Bloobrey Place , he just turned 23 years! Happy Birthday Pablo.
I was impressed by Pablo to be such a good painter and DIY guy, you will be amazed to know he does all those thing being 23! I think Pablo will be an important interior designer and will be very sucesfull in the future.

Thanks to Claire from Stylish Irish she has been my blog friend since from the start and I am always keen to check out her blog for her adventures in Auckland, New Zealand. Besides being super sweet, she has a good sense for style, i love her dream house posts and her cooking makes me want to crave her dishes.

Thanks you guys for helping me out with your advise, I´ll keep them in mind and hopefully soon I can show you the result of my DIY work!

I have to say that all comments I receive make me jump of joy, and I get the feeling of getting to know you and being my friends.

Last Saturday, my friend Patty and me felt like painting, so I poored her a glass of red wine (for me water), some sweets and cupcakes on the side and we stared being creative.
This is what I came up with:
When Beau arrived home I asked him if he liked it and he answerd me:
¨ It looks Paranoid¨....
So now I called the painting Sweet Paranoid.

I hanged it in my office´s kitchen. For not having daylight in the kitchen, it was difficult taking a nice picture with my Iphone, but at least you get the idea.

Erika´s lovely office

                               Office Gallery Wall
I am still in the mood of seeing pretty offices and when one of the blogs I follow, Erika of Small Shop, posted her office I had to share. This girl has excellent taste and has well decorated and organized her office. See that amazing colourfull painting, she has purchased it from Erin Ashley at etsy! Some of other paintings are made by her and her babygirl. I also like her vintage golden mushroom lamp a lot.

Pretty right? Go and read her blog, she tells you where she got her lovely things from.

Colourful Art created

Hello, hope you had a wonderfull weekend. Saturday it was raining heavily and it was lovely to stay home fora day and make some art for on my empty wall. Since a while I wanted something for behind my sofa that adds colour to the decor as I have a lot of grey and white in my house. I bought a huge canvas 1.42m by 1.05m and used oil painting.
It´s my first painting ever, wich I did in the kitchenfloor!

Well I hope you like it, It took me a few hours and there is a lot of paint on the canvas.
I didn´t knew that it takes so much time to dry, i can´t wait to hang it on the wall.
Inspired by these pictures:
