Our weekend

Our weekend flew by as we went to Amsterdam as we were invited by dear friends to join their wedding. The lovely couple stand on the steps of the entrance of West Indisch huis historic building as where the mother and father of the bride were standing many years ago when they got married.

The beautiful and romantic table, I loved the fact it was one big table to sit and be able to look at all faces. It was great to have had a reunion with our dear friends.

The wedding was beautiful and intimate, just the way I like it.

I had some time left to do furniture shopping with my mum. There are always great flower shops in and near Amsterdam.

Mr Beau had time to tour with my father on the motorbikes, having lunch on route and enjoy the day doing guy stuff.

Our baby Matt, was at his other grandma´s house, letting us have couple time. He learned how to brush his teeth, as most of the times he also enjoys biting the brushy side of it.
My weekend was amazing!

1 year!

Our little one turned one today! This year flew by and now he´s a toddler...This weekend we will have a birthday cake to celebrate it. I took this picture this morning, he is so adorable with his number one medallion. We have been so blessed with Matteo, he´s very social, loves to be around other kids, people and animals. But this adorable face has quite a character, he knows what he wants and will make sure he gets it. He starts walking any time soon, many people told us, that it´s going to be an exhausting time...really, even more? We enjoy being with him every day, and we are very proud to discover more and more about his developments.

I bought Matteo some flowers for in his room, of course out of reach, as these common grapes are very pretty but also toxic. They do look sweet in his blue room.

And some pink tulips and white ranunculus for mommy, flowers make me happy.
Picked up this vintage white milk glass vase in last visit in amsterdam while flea market treasure hunting. It reminded me of coral, one of my favorite things.

At first sight

This vignette is love at first sight! They say it doesn´t exist, well for me it does...It happened to me with mr Beau too,  when a dear mutual friend introduced us 10 years ago during a visit in France, thanks Lauren ;)

My days abroad II

Here are a few more pictures I took with my Iphone during my stay in Amsterdam, I visited a nice store (You and Home living)  that sells vintage and antique furniture. I really liked the collection of blue and white jars.

They have decorated the shop like someone´s house, and everything is for sale!

This is the vieuw from the store, lovely huh?
The adress of this lovely store is:
You & Home Living Second Best Gerestylde Meubels, Noordereinde 249, 1243 JV 's-Graveland (Noord-Holland)

Just an ordinary flower shop in Amsterdam ( wish we had them over here like this...)

Coming home to a happy daddy that wanted to have a walk with his son...priceless

I am happy family and friends in Holland have met Matteo finally!

It´s time for Peonies

They are back at the florists, one of my most favourite flowers.
I mixed 3 colours together (but the fucsia/coral colour is gorgeous) and placed them in my
Moet & Chandon Champagne bucket.
 These buckets are so multifuncional.

Flowers on my desk + my glass finds

I hope you all had a great weekend, I got some sun on my face and my dose of vitamin D.
Today I have placed some flowers in my office, they make day wonderfull whenever I wonder my thoughts away from my computer screen I see them and smile like a toddler with it´s favorite toy.
The glass paperclip holder (0.50cts) and vintage glass jar (2.50) are finds from my latest visit to a thriftshop. I like glass stuff to hold my knick-knacks and make things look organized and tidy.

This glass jar (1.50) is also another find, they are next to the armchairs and I want to fill it with candy so I can offer it to my guests who come to visit. I am happy it has a lid, so I am less encouraged to eat the future candy myself.

It has been an amzing week here in Holland, such beautifull weather and the magnolia trees are blooming! Aren't they pretty?

Look at these wallpapers with magnolia print, isn't it sweet to use in an babygirl's nursery?

This fabulous picture comes from the decorista, I was so in love with it that I had to share it.

Everything is in harmony, the colours, the feel and oh...I can stare at this for a looong time.
Wanna have a bamboo stool with green Ikat and a mirrored console, so sexy.
