kitchen utensils

I love cooking, especially when I have guests. Last week I had a guest, a customer of Mr Beau, a 60 year old single man, very healthy, sporty and a good cook. He wanted to have a tour of the house and looking at the kitchen he told me: I like your house, mine is quite the same, but with a lot less STUFF!
I find it cosy to see kitchen utensils, but yes when it´s organized ofcourse... I do understand men, they want things more clean and not in sight...It got me thinking, I love the above picture, but it´s too femenine

Love this DIT idea, very girly too

So practical...

What do you think?

Childrens art - what to do with it?

I found this such a neat idea to hang up all the drawings and kids art that parents may have wandering in their houses.

This is a drawing that my best friends daughter made for Matteo, I framed in an Ikea shadow box.

Fairy tales do come true - walk in closet

Have you seen the sign above the door? I absolutely love well organized closets. This gives me a dose of inspiration to takle mine this weekend. I want to fit in to my old clothes so badly after the pregnancy, so this will motivate me to eat healthy and continue to work out whenever I can.
Enjoy your weekend!!!

Hat boxes vintage and new

I hope you have had a great weekend! We had a relaxing weekend, saturday it was so sunny we decided to go to the beach, which is amazing it´s already mid october!
I wanted to share my love for hatboxes, they are so great to store anything and they add some chicness to any wardrobe.

I came across this vintage blue hatbox form an Etsy shop, it looked so much like the first image that I found on Pinterest.
Black and white vintage hat box on ebay

Etsy did it again

These above 3 images are form Zara home if you prefer a new hat box, these are great.
I use my hatboxes for stocking, panty hoses and scarfs, just an idea.

It's cold outside - reorganize your closet

It's cold here and for the first time this year I felt I had goosebumps and had to wear vests and scarfs to keep me warm.  Autumn is coming, although I love summer, I kind of like autums as you can snug up the sofa with a hot cup of coco and cover yourself with a soft blanket, reading your favorite decorating magazines. It made me realize, when I get back home I have to re-organize my closet, all the summer clothes and shoes have to be stored. Did you do yours already?
How cool is this frame or mirror that hangs onto the large mirror?
Love the drawers + jewelry  too!
Love tall boots for fall and the hermes boxes

organization

A clean and organized house makes a good base for a happy home. Sometimes a busy mind or stress reflects a chaotic home, that at least is in my case. Make time and joy to get your house organized. Put some favorite music on, and don't worry for your neighbours come knocking at your door, and get motivated to see the end result.

The best way is not bring so much stuff in to your home in the first place, are you going to use it all? Sometimes we drown in all the stuff that we want to keep. Today organized one of my rooms that has a big closet, i did manage to fill 8 garbage bags with stuff to donate and others with garbage.
That made me feel good, or are those the hormones doing their thing?
Anyway a good way to get me started cleaning is looking at pretty pictures of other homes.
Like these pretty vignets for example, it makes me want to get the same result.

Now my house is clean, gotta go buying some fresh flowers that will be the cherry on the pie.
Enjoy your weekend!

The weekend

How was your weekend? I have spend mine organizing the house, it feels great and relieved when you have things in it´s place.
I also was able to go and visit Zara home and found very pretty kitchen towels, they remind me of the Kelly Wearstler imperial trellis print, they go well with my yellow dutch tulips.
I am not sure to use them as towels or turn them into pillows?
Here is a picture of my organized cupoard, believe me it has never been like this before.
I do admire those who always live this well organized.

The big glass bottles on the top shelf,  are of an italian company Bormioli Rocco
and they are called Cuatro Stagioni (the 4 seasons) they are great for when you want to
make your own jam or tomatosause.
I use them to keep my rice, nuts and dried fruits...
About Bormiolo Rocco jars:
Dishwasher safe jars made in Italy. More than two decades ago, Bormioli Rocco , introduced the first 100 % glass preserving jar. The Quattro Stagioni home canning jars include various sizes of jars, each designed with an Italian embossed decor. In addition to preserving fruits and vegetables, the jars are also often used for storing dry food items such as pasta, flour, sugar, ground coffee or spices.

Best Closet Post

I almost had my jaw dropped by the post of Erica from Moth Design, she has such a well organized closet, and I found her framed bag wall wonderfull, I thought the frames were especially made to fit the bags but she wrote that they were from Ikea!

Doesn´t this image looks like it came from Lonny or a Elle decor?

So well displayed, it looks like it´s joy to choose everyday what to wear....

I so want to switch closets with her!
