sexy electic

These livingrooms share the same sexy electic feeling. The black and white, pops of color, art, gold and animal prints are all the things I truly love in a decor. You can´t stop looking at these images as you discover more and more little details.

I struck gold...finding vintage finds

This week I did some vintage hunting with my mum in the flea and antique markets in Amsterdam.
Do you like the vintage octagonal gold mirror above? I do too and I found a same one, but a size smaller on the flea market!

The white light is an other vintage find.

As well as this authentic foldable Gerlinol tea trolley from 1955

and this HUGE canvas oil painting! I saw it, and made an offer, bought it for a fraction of the price.
Only this painting will come home with me, not sure yet which wall to hang it, but sure will find a nice spot for it.

It's a roman family that is buying a statue, it's full with little details and these iphone pictures, does not do it justice...it's impressive really! It's not signed, and have no clue who is the painter.

I think we got very lucky with this...

Nursery planning

I have a white Ikea baby crib stored in my warehouse, that I used in a proyect a few years ago, and I was thinking of using it for my own nursery. The only thing its quite boring, so I have the idea of ordering some greek pattern O´verlays to add a bit of chicness. Here is the picture of O´verlays used on the Lack table from Ikea
And this is the Ikea Gulliver crib

I guess these 2 things combined will make a stunner of a crib, that is a fraction of the cost, compared the designer cribs out there.
So this will be my next DIY proyect...

As I am saving on the crib, I thought I might splurge on some nice animal photographs from Sharon Montrose.

I did buy this already:

rompers from petite bateau

Well that´s it for now, we still have many months to go, so other helpfull things will be added soon.

The little things

Thank you for your well wishes of our pregnancy, for not turning this blog into a babyblog, I will post sometimes a few things about babystuff.
Today I wanted to share some little things that made my day.
my new gold chain and leather bracelet from Massimo Dutti, wich is my new arm candy love.

New Iphone cover, my Iphone was getting severely scratched.
Yesterday I saw this pretty and simple black Iphonecover and it turned out to
cost only 2 euros. It made me happy, functionality and price wise.

I bought an Ikea frame for the pretty portrait of my friend Masha.
She went to live in Mexico, where this picture was taken also.
When I see her happy picture, it makes me smile.

This gold glitter jacket from Zara, that will come out handy for my growing belly.
I do want to dress up nicely and try to take good care.

Things I loved this week

The week isn´t over yet, but I was so inspired by my fellow bloggers that I had to share.
All of the them are DIY proyects, that´s what amazes me how good they can make it look, by a layer of paint and imagination.

The next images are 2 bathrooms made by Alexandra from Things that sparkle
How cool is that chevron wall? Love the picked colors, they match well with the marble.

Recently I love black walls for a bathroom with gold touches and pops of colours.
That white mirror is yum too!

Next images are from Dwellings by de Vore, perfect when you need to fullfill your DIY addiction.
This pink detailing on the desk is super cute.

Next images are from Nicole from Sketch 42
Can you believe she made those paintings? Just amazing and so talented
