Ibiza style

Since we are staying in the middle of the island, inbetween the mountains I have bad telephone reception and no internet. Thank you for your sweet comments on the last posts, I read them all and will respond soon. We are enjoying Ibiza to the fullest and resting a lot with Matteo near the pool. Will be back next week, untill then many kisses from Ibiza.

White Armoire

We painted our armoire white, and I must say it totally transformed it into a beauty. Again this iphone picture does not do it justice.

Matteo says; Hello beautiful girls, I am trying to be a macho man here in Amsterdam, giving smiles to the ladies, showing my two lower teeth, dribble and a wink with my eye occasionally.

I like it when my granddad carries me, he makes me laugh a lot when he makes funny faces.

When grandma and mom hunt for vintage stuff, I like to sit back and watch from my baby carrier and help my mom get discount by giving a cute smile to the salesmen.

I struck gold...finding vintage finds

This week I did some vintage hunting with my mum in the flea and antique markets in Amsterdam.

Do you like the vintage octagonal gold mirror above? I do too and I found a same one, but a size smaller on the flea market!

The white light is an other vintage find.

As well as this authentic foldable Gerlinol tea trolley from 1955

and this HUGE canvas oil painting! I saw it, and made an offer, bought it for a fraction of the price.

Only this painting will come home with me, not sure yet which wall to hang it, but sure will find a nice spot for it.

It's a roman family that is buying a statue, it's full with little details and these iphone pictures, does not do it justice...it's impressive really! It's not signed, and have no clue who is the painter.

I think we got very lucky with this...

We recently made some Pom Pom bracelets for Leonor designs, being totally unaware that the PomPom theme is so hot right now. These gorgeous and funny looking heels are from Asos!  I am the ballerina kind of gal, as I can't walk on heels, but I do adore these Pom Pom heels.

Delicate skin

Sometimes you wish someone would have told you something many years ago to prevent aging or damage your skin. I am a licensed beautician, even though that is not what I do for a living, I would recommend every woman to do a course or a study as I have learned so much about the human body and skin care. Since the day we were born we did not come with a manual about our body. We learn from trial and error and from parents, magazines, internet and such, but there are things that we can prevent of damaging our skin.

First of all, after a shower, use a super soft and absorbent towel, like these Egyptian cotton towels from I love Linen. Don't rush in drying your skin but be delicate doing it. I have seen skin that was treated roughly, and the elastine you have got in your skin will break and leave your skin sagging.

First of all Sun is your skins worst enemy, I know a woman who applys sunblock everyday and now at the age of 60, she looks amazing and has tight smooth skin.

Apply handcreme to your hands, at least a few times a week. Really...You can tell the age of a woman by looking to their hands as cosmetic surgery is not able to be done to hands.

I could go on and one....

I salute you from Amsterdam! It's sunny weather and a day to enjoy. Me and Matteo spend this morning having breakfast with a dear friend and now we are going to explore the city together.

Oh and this picture...I realized I need more color in my life...I heard some decoraters saying that white is sooo out!

Sorry for not posting so often, I am enjoying my holidays with mr beau and the bebe.

Today is my last day at the office and I wanted to show you my vieuw, when I have my quick lunch.
