back and healthy!

Sorry for my absence, these last days were like a roller coaster, sick, better, sick, better....
I needed to take a break from my computer and rest.
Now I am getting back to be my old self again. I made a few beauty appointments, take good care of what I eat and try to have our house organized, a few ingredients to my happiness.
It´s amazing how eating effects your mood and body. I am more energetic & happy.
In the mornings I make fruit and vegetable juices, I eat less meat, started to add chia seeds in my drinks. Just a few of the changes I have been doing lately.

Mr Beau was out for a week, on a boys only surfing trip in the Maldives. Surfing and snorkeling with the Dolphins, Manta rays and turtles...he had such a huge smile on his face when he came back, and was crazy to see his little Matteo again. Both of them took me out for dinner!

Our weekend

Our weekend flew by as we went to Amsterdam as we were invited by dear friends to join their wedding. The lovely couple stand on the steps of the entrance of West Indisch huis historic building as where the mother and father of the bride were standing many years ago when they got married.

The beautiful and romantic table, I loved the fact it was one big table to sit and be able to look at all faces. It was great to have had a reunion with our dear friends.

The wedding was beautiful and intimate, just the way I like it.

I had some time left to do furniture shopping with my mum. There are always great flower shops in and near Amsterdam.

Mr Beau had time to tour with my father on the motorbikes, having lunch on route and enjoy the day doing guy stuff.

Our baby Matt, was at his other grandma´s house, letting us have couple time. He learned how to brush his teeth, as most of the times he also enjoys biting the brushy side of it.

My weekend was amazing!

Matteo´s birthday

Wow, these days are passing by fast. Saturday we celebrated Matteo´s 1st birthday for a couple of friends and close family. We did little party preparations, balloons, garland and home made food.

Just to give you an idea as I felt a little under the weather and didn´t shoot some pictures during the party.

1 year!

Our little one turned one today! This year flew by and now he´s a toddler...This weekend we will have a birthday cake to celebrate it. I took this picture this morning, he is so adorable with his number one medallion. We have been so blessed with Matteo, he´s very social, loves to be around other kids, people and animals. But this adorable face has quite a character, he knows what he wants and will make sure he gets it. He starts walking any time soon, many people told us, that it´s going to be an exhausting time...really, even more? We enjoy being with him every day, and we are very proud to discover more and more about his developments.

I bought Matteo some flowers for in his room, of course out of reach, as these common grapes are very pretty but also toxic. They do look sweet in his blue room.

And some pink tulips and white ranunculus for mommy, flowers make me happy.

Picked up this vintage white milk glass vase in last visit in amsterdam while flea market treasure hunting. It reminded me of coral, one of my favorite things.

1st birthday party, soon to come...

How great! About a year ago I had a big round belly and now in some days I am going to celebrate the 1st birthdayparty of Matteo. I wil do someting small, some snacks drinks, and a cake for family and close friends. These images are nice for inspiration.

I would live to make these cake pops...

Absolutely liked this idea of making a photograph of your baby every month at the same spot so you could see the development. So awesome.

Things around the Beau Lifestyle´s house

In Mexico I bought this vivid colored Otomi table runner that I have placed on the armchair in Matteo´s room. It really ads a nice happy touch to his room.  You have them also in one single color like red, blue green...but for kids I like the multi colored ones. They don´t come cheap, neither in Mexico, paying tourist prices, you can easily order them online and have them shipped to your house.

Got these 2 pretty glasses at Zara home, and wow...they have pretty stuff on Sale, It was difficult walking out the shop only with 2 glasses. I have to return as they have a beautiful carpet 50% off for Matteo´s room. As in the glass it´s the bargello print. These glasses come in handy for my make up brushes and my hair elastics. One wish of mine was owning black velvet clothes hangers. As I couldn´t find them here and I found overseas shipping for these too expensive, I jumped up of joy when I came across these hangers in Primark. They were on sale and for 10 of them I paid 3,90 euros! Got a bunch of them and will change them all in my closet. Do you know Primark? Primark is a huge chain shop with affordable and fashionable clothes, accessories and things for the home.

Got this pretty and huge custom made month planner from Etsy for on our fridge. With a baby in the house we can now schedule our appointments and things to do!

And...our boy Matteo turned 10 months, and soon we will be having his 1st birthday party! He grows up so incredibly fast. Almost walking and welcoming us with dadadaaa aitaitaa in his own language...

Matteo 9 months

Our little boy has turned 9 months already. He has 7 teeth and wants to walk most of the time, with our help ofcourse. But I am not suprised if he starts walking by himself soon, the cheeky little boy he is. One thing we love to do is hug...those thight hugs with his arms around my neck, so sweet.

He stands up alone in the bath, cot and with help of the furniture.

 When meeting other woman, they want to show me pictures of their baby girls, or baby nieces and tell me that they ( matteo and the babygirl) make a nice couple in the future... Is this normal that woman already think fo far in the future? I found it hilarious that it happened 3 times already.

We went to London last weekend, hopefully soon i can post some pictures, we had a lovely time, wich I would love to show.

Toys organization

What about this girl from Beau Lifestyle...lately she hasn´t been posting regulary. Since our little one goes to the baby day care he has been sick continuously, and so am I. We are going to cancel baby day care and figure out something else as thing hasn´t been working so far.

To top off all my healt issues, this weekend I had a salmonella intoxication. We were given lovely wild mushrooms by friends, we made them with an egg omelette and oh my gosh, what a bad, bad, bad experience...Today I am feeling a little bit better, and tossed the remaining mushrooms into the garbage bin, no more wild mushrooms for us no more...

The only thing I have changed in our house is that I cleared the bottom 2 shelves of where we keep plates and dishes and stored Matteo´s toys. He is crawling and getting on his feet and was always attraced to my plates and dishes, so now I turned it into his toy storage. I like toys to be concentrated and organized in a part of the house, and become a part of the decoration, instead it to be scattered all over.

Hopefully I can get things back on track soon and return to my old self again. Thanks for being there for us and your lovely comments!

Tiny art

Last weekend I attended an art class for babies and that was fun! Matteo discovered he had an artistic side. It´s so funny to see how other babies interact with other babies, they either can´t get their hands off of each other or the ignore other babies totally. My mom went back home yesterday, It was also lovely to have my mom over this week, sorry for abandoning you guys. It´s when I have family over I really like to spend quality time with them and no time for sitting behind the laptop! During working hours I was very busy preparing my biggest order ever, my biggest customer (with 75 shops!), placed an order and I had to get that order out. It took me 4 entire days to prepare everything according their instructions but thank god it´s send!

Seeing matteo getting his hands dirty doing some DIY, I remember I got to do some DIY myself.

I still have a wonderfull vintage faux Bamboo mirror to paint and hang up.

pumpkin time

It´s friday again, the weekend has started. Soon it´s Halloween, do you decorate your house for that occasion? Our little boy got this super cute pants and onesie as a gift, it´s such a pleasure to see him crawl around the house with the smiling pumpkin on his bum. Matteo is recovering from a flu and also a cold...busy days with a sick bub. Now mr Beau got it too and i have to take care of 2 boys...

I am Baaackkk!

Hey did you missed us? Well we sure did miss you! I am back on track, energized and organized...It´s been good to disconnect and reload. Matt has been growing up so fast! He passed his next milestone, he stands up in his crib by himself, and crawls around the house.
I wanted to start posting about our house again, but that is quite impossible with this little whirlwind, he leaves a track of chaos around the house. He found the boxes in my closet where I keep my socks and underwear, and he likes to throw them on the floor for me to pick them up...
I am excited that it´s autumn, these last weeks has been very hot here and I longed for some cool weather. I love that we have seasons...

Look what I bought, a pretty, new, twig table. I saw it over one of my favorite deco shops and they had a 50% discount on all furniture, veni vidi vici...and made this table mine. Mr beau doesn´t know it yet.....It will be a surprise for him to see this table suddenly at home, ha!

I am so happy with it, as it has been a favorite side table for a long while.

I have been doing some vintage hunting as well, and came across this real antique venetian mirror. This is the real deal and not some new imitation mirror. It was gorgeous, but had to pass it up, cause I have a lovely vintage faux bamboo mirror that I have to hang up at home. Pictures of the bamboo mirror will soon be posted.

Matteo 7 months

Matt is allready 7 months! We had a nice little photoshoot in our house. Soon I´ll post more pictures, I promise...Yesterday he stood on his feet and hands together making a bridge...for me it was an other mile stone.

Mr Beau, Matteo and when we go traveling we always take our Marsupi Baby carrier with us. I have tried so many baby carriers, even bought some different styles like the slings, wrap, ergobaby etc. but my most favorite is this Marsupi carrier. I love it that it is so easy to get your baby in thanks to the velcro bands and it's the only one that doesn't hurt my back. It comes with a pouch so when not using it you can roll it up and carry in your tote. It's also made of soft organic cotton. This is one of my absolute must have if you have a baby that likes to get carried.

Winter is coming up and I bought these super cute and comfy baby boots for Matteo. He is going to daycare soon and he needs easy comfy shoes and boots. The Baby wool boots from Etsy seller Wooly baby come in many different styles and sizes even for moms and dads. I have not received them yet, I hope they arrive soon...

Matteo started to eat solid food and he loves his Clevamama silicone feeder. Pop in a piece of soft fruit and you are worry free when your baby munches on it. It goes anywhere with us as in restaurants Matteo will be busy with his feeder and we have time to have lunch in a relaxed way.

It's great when theeting, put in a piece of frozen fruit, and it soothes the pain.

The most comfortable, cute and stay on baby booties I have ever seen are these SWAG booties from Etsy seller Trendybaby. You can choose your favorite color of fabric and the color of the soles (witch are anti slip) and Rachel makes them for you. I got a pair with taupe elephants and all white ones that go with everything. I am absolutely not afraid to lose a shoe, they stay on perfectly even by a busy moving baby like Matteo.

I am absolutely in love with the quality of this brand called Organic for Kids. Made in the UK of organic cotton, these rompers come in many cute designs and colors. I also liked that they sell other things in the same print like bonnets, blankets, hoodies etc. So you can a complete set or mix and match.
