Reading Holly Beckers blog Decor8, she wrote about Blogshop wich is a Photoshop bootcamp classes given by Bri Emery and Angela Kohler from the blog Blogshop. They give 2 classes the first one is in Berlin the 15th and 16th of october and the next one is held in Paris the 22nd and 23th of october. I would love to go...I do not mind to either to Berlin or Paris, as long they have a place left in their class.

I do not know anything about photoshop and I would love to learn, sometimes I see other blogs with the most unique pictures, wanting to create something nice as well but not having the knowledge makes me feel helpless, so I was over the moon happy to see that there are such cool photoshop classes exist!

Ok so...Beau.. honey, if you read this and they have place, you know I am going ok ;)

Nursery planning

I have a white Ikea baby crib stored in my warehouse, that I used in a proyect a few years ago, and I was thinking of using it for my own nursery. The only thing its quite boring, so I have the idea of ordering some greek pattern O´verlays to add a bit of chicness. Here is the picture of O´verlays used on the Lack table from Ikea

And this is the Ikea Gulliver crib 

I guess these 2 things combined will make a stunner of a crib, that is a fraction of the cost, compared the designer cribs out there.

So this will be my next DIY proyect...

As I am saving on the crib, I thought I might splurge on some nice animal photographs from Sharon Montrose.

Meet Mariska from I used to be snowwhite

Do you know the blog´´I used to be snowwhite but I drifted´´? It´s written by fellow dutchie Mariska Meijers who was a lawyer before she became a talented  artist and designer for her own brand Mariska Meijers Amsterdam.
I had the pleasure of meeting her at the Meet the blogger event held in Amsterdam 25th of june this year, I noticed her happy and open personality, she even showed me how the zoom option on my Iphone worked, I had no idea before.

Flowers on my desk

I am organizing my desk, and o my how many rubishly papers and not usefull business cards can you keep? I want my office to be an clean and neat place where I work with a lot of pleasure, so all hands on deck and get this piggy washed.

A quick thank you for the lovely comments from the ones who gave their advise on last thursday´s post, about my next DIY proyect for the bamboo chairs.

Thanks to Ana Antunes from Home Styling is my portugese decorating angel that has jlo´s looks (true go and look for yourself) and is the heartbeat of the only decorating show in Portugal Querido, mudei a casa. Besides of her having sublime taste, she is hard working, down to earth sweet and i am proud to have met her in person and call her my friend.

Thanks to Spanish Pablo from Bloobrey Place , he just turned 23 years! Happy Birthday Pablo.
I was impressed by Pablo to be such a good painter and DIY guy, you will be amazed to know he does all those thing being 23! I think Pablo will be an important interior designer and will be very sucesfull in the future.

Thanks to Claire from Stylish Irish she has been my blog friend since from the start and I am always keen to check out her blog for her adventures in Auckland, New Zealand. Besides being super sweet, she has a good sense for style, i love her dream house posts and her cooking makes me want to crave her dishes.

Thanks you guys for helping me out with your advise, I´ll keep them in mind and hopefully soon I can show you the result of my DIY work!
          
I have to say that all comments I receive make me jump of joy, and I get the feeling of getting to know you and being my friends.

Last Saturday, my friend Patty and me felt like painting, so I poored her a glass of red wine (for me water), some sweets and cupcakes on the side and we stared being creative.
This is what I came up with:

When Beau arrived home I asked him if he liked it and he answerd me:

¨ It looks Paranoid¨....

So now I called the painting Sweet Paranoid. 

I hanged it in my office´s kitchen. For not having daylight in the kitchen, it was difficult taking a nice picture with my Iphone, but at least you get the idea.

Love these nursery´s

I hope you had a great weekend! I have been searching some blogs for nurserys and when I saw this chic Boston´s Beacon Hill nursey over at Elements of style blog, I knew I was in love. This is the kind of nursery I would like to create. I liked the post that Erin of Elements of style wrote, because she gave the sources where things were bought.

An other nursery from Matters of style blog got me exited too, she recently gave birth to a baby girl and I love how she DIY this nursery all by herself.

I think I like it because she used a lot of bamboo furniture and the colors and the details are well matched together.

organization

A clean and organized house makes a good base for a happy home. Sometimes a busy mind or stress reflects a chaotic home, that at least is in my case. Make time and joy to get your house organized. Put some favorite music on, and don't worry for your neighbours come knocking at your door, and get motivated to see the end result.




The best way is not bring so much stuff in to your home in the first place, are you going to use it all? Sometimes we drown in all the stuff that we want to keep. Today organized one of my rooms that has a big closet, i did manage to fill 8 garbage bags with stuff to donate and others with garbage.
That made me feel good, or are those the hormones doing their thing?
Anyway a good way to get me started cleaning is looking at pretty pictures of other homes.
Like these pretty vignets for example, it makes me want to get the same result.





Now my house is clean, gotta go buying some fresh flowers that will be the cherry on the pie.

Advise on faux bamboo chairs

How cute is this puppy?

I still have 2 of these faux bamboo armchairs that I have to paint, and I need your advise in wich colour to paint them and wich fabric to use.
I would like something that can last for a long time, and now with a baby in mind...
